About Us

Isaiah 58 Ministries is a non-profit agency that has been in existence in South Saint Louis since 1970.  It was established to meet the needs of low-income individuals in our community through direct services including a food pantry, thrift store, utility assistance and job placement assistance.

After 40 years of service we continue to do wonderful work through our various outreach programs.  During the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas alone we serve well over 800 families, supplying them with baskets of food as well as turkeys and hams.  In addition we are able to help over 100 families with gifts during Christmas.

While our organization continues its many vital programs that have served this community for years, we are also seeking new ways to touch the lives of those we serve.

As we look to the future of the organization, we hope to empower those in need of assistance, guiding them to lead lives of confidence and independence.  We strive to develop lasting, positive change for the Saint Louis community and invite your support on our journey.

Our Mission

Claiming our unity in Christ, in partnership with other churches, and in celebration of the human community, and in common service with other faiths and secular organizations, we intend to:

·       Provide programs and services to meet the physical and spiritual needs of persons in our neighborhood and in our churches.

·       Promote opportunities for an ecumenical witness to Christ in the inner city and to exist as a sign of unity in a fragmented church and society.

·      Work cooperatively with other church and community groups for the building up of the human community and alleviation of human problems such as hunger, poverty, racism, and injustice.
